TAKE A TEMPLATE BEFORE YOU TEMPORIZE!

Many dentists use alginate, putty, or a vacuum form material to create a matrix for temporary fabrication. Time and accuracy, however, are sacrificed when these techniques are used: they either take too long, or they lack the detail to prevent flash formation during the temporary procedure.

The best solution for your next temporary matrix is TEMPLATE™, a silicone matrix material that provides far superior detail and accuracy. Best of all, it sets in 30 seconds - no vacuum, no hand-mixing, and no flash!

TEMPLATE™ will flow into the embrasure areas and into the finest morphology, yet when cured, it will release easily and maintain its stable form indefinitely. In addition, TEMPLATE™ is the ideal material for the Lingual Matrix technique for Class III and IV restorations (see below).

TEMPLATE™ Temporary Crown Matrix Technique

You don’t always have time to create perfect temporaries. TEMPLATE™ is an ultra quick, silicone matrix material that sets in just 30 seconds, delivering a highly detailed replication of the tooth structure.

Template is loaded into a TempTray.

2. TempTray and Template

are seated introrally (30 seconds)
.

3. An accurate and detailed matrix is created. Notice the sharp interproximal detail.

TAKE A TEMPLATE OF THE LINGUAL!

Most dentists repair Class III and IV defects only to find themselves struggling with finishing the lingual aspect of the restoration - and during the struggle the clock keeps ticking! Now, when you use TEMPLATE™ and the Lingual Matrix Technique (see below), you can pre-shape and refine the lingual surface while you’re restoring the tooth, leaving only the polishing step to complete the restoration.

TEMPLATE™ Lingual Matrix Technique

When it comes to Class III and IV restorations, although they are common procedures, you find it frustrating and time-consuming to shape refine, and finish the lingual surface. TEMPLATE™ relieves the stress associated with this clinical challenge.

1. Apply a thick layer of Template on the lingual aspect of the centrals and laterals. Be sure Template flows over the incisal edge.
2. New Class IV preparation with long bevel.

3. Replace Template matrix and hold in position.
4. Renamel Sculpt clear occlusal (Cosmedent, Chicago, IL) is packed against the Template matrix to form the lingual shelf.

5. Renamel Sculpt is light-cured for 20 seconds.
6. Renamel Microfill is placed to complete the restoration, cured and polished.
